KGC BRASS TREMOLO BLOCK INSTALLATION

-STRAT STYLE-

1.)  Remove Strings

2.)  Remove tremolo springs from old block and claw

3.)  Take out bridge assembly for removal of old block

4.)  Loosen or remove saddles to allow for access to 3 screws under them that attach plate to block (be sure to mark the locations of the saddles for intonation when they go back on)

5.)  Attach new block with new screws – do not tighten all the way yet!

6.)  Insert Tremolo Bar for alignment

7.)  Once all screws and tremolo bar are in, tighten each screw incrementally until all are secure

8.)   Remove Tremolo Bar

9.)   Re-Install bridge with new block

10.)    Put springs back on new block and claw

11.)    Adjust your saddles back for intonation

12.)    Restring and experience the Amazing KGC sound and Feel!

 

 

 

 

KGC BRASS TREMOLO BLOCK INSTALLATION

-FLOYD ROSE STYLE-

 1.)  Remove Strings

2.) Remove tremolo springs from old block and claw

3.) Take out bridge assembly for removal of old block

4.) Loosen adjustment screws on saddles to allow for access to 3 screws under them that attach plate to block

5.) Attach new block with new screws – do not tighten all the way yet!

6.) Once all screws are in, tighten each screw incrementally until all are secure

7.) Re-Install bridge with new block

8.) Put springs back on new block and claw

9.) Adjust your saddles back for intonation

10.)Restring and experience the Amazing KGC sound and Feel!

 

 

KGC KILLER BRASS CLAW INSTALLATION

 

1.) Loosen your strings

2.) Loosen wood screws that hold in original claw and remove

3.) Remove springs from claw and tremolo block

4.) Cut ground wire as close to old claw as possible

5.) Strip back insulation from wire approximately ¼” or 6mm - exposing raw wire

6.) Remove wire lug from your new Killer Claw

7.) Insert wire into supplied lug as far as it will go

8.)Crimp wire with crimpers or pliers so it is held snug in supplied lug

9.)Shrink tubing on lug around wire by using a heat gun or lighter – BE CAREFUL!  Don’t burn the tubing, just heat it up so it shrinks over wire. 

10.)    Re-attach lug to claw with supplied screw and washer

11.)    Use the 2 #8 screws supplied and install your claw directly into the original claw screw holes on your guitar

12.)    Re-attach springs

13.)    Adjust claw screws for proper tension

14.)    Tune your guitar

 

You are DONE!  Enjoy the sound and feel of your new Killer Claw!

 

 

 

 

 

KGC BRASS MEGA-STOP TREMOLO STOPPER INSTALLATION

 

1.) Loosen Strings & Spring Claw

2.)Remove tremolo springs from old block and claw

3.)Block tremolo with a wedge so top plate seats flat to body

4.)Spot & Drill 1st pilot hole on trem cavity deck (with supplied 5/64” drill) approx 5/8” from trem block edge – make sure it is centered on the trem block!

5.)Attach Mega-Stop into first hole using supplied #6 brass screw

6.)Spot & Drill 2nd and 3rd (optional) hole at least ¼” apart from the other

7.)Install 2nd (and 3rd if necessary) screw and tighten.   Mega-Stop should be centered and securely in place at edge of trem cavity deck.

8.)Insert 6mm stop adjustment screw using supplied ball-end hex wrench.  Thread in until you get contact with your tremolo block. 

9.)Re-Install Springs to claw and block

10.)Tune the strings and experience the amazing KGC sound and feel.
